Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Cooked ("Cooked", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Cooked app or website (together, "the app") you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the app. The short version: Cooked is a joke machine — use it for laughs, never for decisions, and only check images you have the right to share.

Entertainment only — no advice, no reliance

Cooked is provided strictly for entertainment and novelty purposes. Every verdict, score, "receipt", salvageability rating, and piece of "advice" is generated automatically by an artificial-intelligence model and is intended as humor. It is not professional, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, academic, career, safety, or relationship advice, and it is not a statement of fact about you, anyone else, or any situation.

• Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, exaggerated, offensive, or absurd on purpose. They can misread your image entirely.
• You agree not to rely on any output and not to act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything the app says. Any decision you make is yours alone and at your sole risk.
• Cooked is not a crisis service, therapist, or emergency resource. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line immediately (988 in the US and Canada).
• Nothing in the app creates a professional, fiduciary, advisory, or confidential relationship between you and Cooked.

Who can use Cooked

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use an app like this). If you are under 18, you may only use the app with a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.

What you upload and how you use the app

You are solely responsible for everything you submit to the app and for how you use any output. You agree that you will:

• only check images you own or have the right to share, including any rights needed from other people who appear in or wrote the content;
• not upload anything illegal, sexually explicit, or that depicts minors in any inappropriate way, and not upload other people's private information;
• not use the app or its outputs to harass, bully, threaten, defame, discriminate against, or target any person or group;
• not attempt to make the app comment on anyone's appearance, body, or identity — the app is built to refuse this, and you agree not to try to circumvent it;
• not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, probe, or interfere with the app or its API, or use it to build a competing product or to train AI models;
• not use the app in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.

We may refuse, throttle, or remove any submission and may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the app. Photos you check are processed to generate the verdict and are not stored — see the Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content and third-party services

Outputs are produced by third-party AI models and infrastructure we do not control. We make no promises about the accuracy, availability, quality, or suitability of any output, and outputs about similar images may differ. Output is not reviewed by a human before it is shown to you. Any content you share outside the app (including verdict cards) is shared by you, on your own responsibility.

Cooked Unlimited subscription

• You get 3 free checks. After that, Cooked Unlimited is an auto-renewing weekly subscription purchased through your Apple ID.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's standard policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
• Prices may change; we will give notice as required by Apple, and continued use after a change means you accept the new price. Free-check limits and subscription features may change at any time.

Ownership and license

The app, its name, design, code, verdict format, and all related intellectual property belong to Cooked or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Your images remain yours; you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to process them solely to generate your verdict. Verdict cards you create are yours to share for personal, non-commercial purposes.

No warranty

THE APP AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY OUTPUT IS TRUE, RELIABLE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR ANY PURPOSE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COOKED AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REPUTATION, RELATIONSHIPS, OPPORTUNITIES, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE APP OR ANY OUTPUT — INCLUDING ANYTHING YOU DO, OR DON'T DO, BECAUSE AN AI TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE COOKED — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) US $10. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU; IN THAT CASE OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE SMALLEST AMOUNT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Assumption of risk and indemnity

You use the app at your own risk. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cooked and its owners, operators, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the app, the content you submit, anything you share or do based on an output, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

Apple

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Where a purchase is made through the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time; deleting it and canceling any subscription ends this agreement on your side. We may suspend or terminate the app or your access at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Entertainment only, Ownership, No warranty, Limitation of liability, Indemnity, and Disputes) survive termination.

Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Cooked's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you additional rights. Before filing any claim you agree to contact us at the address below and try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, and you agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as part of a class or representative action.

General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Cooked about the app. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a change of ownership of the app. We may update these Terms; the current version will always be posted at this URL with an updated effective date, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new Terms.
